OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
By participating in any contest offered by Mid-West Family Broadcasting in Springfield, Missouri (including its radio stations KQRA (Q102), KOSP (92.9 The Beat), KOMG (105.1 The Bull), KKLH (104.7 The Cave), and Around the Ozarks) and its associated websites and social media platforms, you agree to these official contest rules.
1. Eligibility:
- No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Contests are void where prohibited by law.
- Participants and winners must be legal residents of the United States.
- Unless otherwise specified, all winners must be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. Age restrictions may apply to specific contests and will be clearly stated in the individual contest rules.
- Unless otherwise specified, contests are open to all legal residents living within a seventy-five (75) mile radius of the primary business address of Mid-West Family Broadcasting in Springfield, Missouri (2453 E. Elm Street, Springfield, MO 65802).
- Employees of Mid-West Family Broadcasting, its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, participating sponsors, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in the same household of each such employee, whether or not related, are not eligible to participate or win.
2. Entry and Participation:
- Unless otherwise specified in the individual contest rules, there is a limit of one (1) entry per person per registration.
- The use of multiple email addresses, phone numbers, or identities to enter a contest multiple times is prohibited and may result in disqualification.
- For online contests, Mid-West Family Broadcasting is not responsible for technical malfunctions, lost or misdirected entries, interrupted or unavailable network connections, miscommunications, or other errors or difficulties of any kind, whether human, mechanical, typographical, printing, or otherwise relating to or in connection with the contest, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the contest, the processing of entries, the counting of votes, the announcement of the prize or in any contest-related materials.
- Mid-West Family Broadcasting reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or violating these rules.
- In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an online entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.
3. Prizes and Winning:
- Unless otherwise noted, an individual is eligible to win only once every thirty (30) days per individual Mid-West Family Broadcasting radio station in Springfield, MO.
- Prizes are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash. No prize substitutions will be permitted, except at the sole discretion of Mid-West Family Broadcasting. Mid-West Family Broadcasting reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize is unavailable for any reason.
- Winners are solely responsible for any and all applicable local, state, and federal taxes associated with the receipt and use of any prize.
- Winners may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability and publicity (where permitted by law) within a specified time period as indicated in the notification. Failure to return the required documents by the deadline may result in forfeiture of the prize. Winners may also be required to provide proof of identification, including their social security number, for tax reporting purposes.
- Any prize winner who accumulates more than six hundred dollars ($600) in cash and/or prizes from Mid-West Family Broadcasting in Springfield, MO, within a calendar year will receive an IRS Form 1099.
- Prizes must be claimed within thirty (30) days of notification, unless otherwise specified in the individual contest rules. Prizes not claimed within this timeframe will be forfeited.
- Mid-West Family Broadcasting cannot guarantee that events, such as concerts, will occur as scheduled. In the event of postponement, tickets may be valid for the rescheduled date. In the event of cancellation, the prize (tickets) is null and void, and no substitution or replacement will be provided.
- Unless otherwise specified, prizes valued over $50 will generally not be mailed and must be picked up by the winner during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST) at the Mid-West Family Broadcasting studios located at 2453 E. Elm Street, Springfield, MO 65802. Winners will be notified via email with instructions on how to claim their prize.
- For prizes valued at $50 or less, such as gift cards, certificates, or concert tickets (if timely), Mid-West Family Broadcasting may, at its discretion, mail the prize to the winner. However, all necessary forms, including a signed release and a copy of photo identification, must be completed and returned before any prize will be mailed.
- Mid-West Family Broadcasting is not responsible for any delivery delays or prizes lost, damaged, or misdirected in the mail. Prizes returned as undeliverable will be held for pickup at the station for a reasonable period, after which they may be forfeited. Mid-West Family Broadcasting will not re-mail prizes.
4. Winner Notification and Verification:
- Winners will be notified primarily via email and/or phone, using the contact information provided at the time of entry.
- Mid-West Family Broadcasting is not responsible for email notifications that are filtered as spam, missed, or inadvertently deleted by the winner. It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure their email settings allow for receipt of contest notifications.
- Potential winners may be required to provide proof of identification and may need to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability and publicity.
- The decisions of Mid-West Family Broadcasting and/or its judges are final and binding in all matters relating to the contest.
5. Publicity Release:
- By participating in this contest, contestants grant Mid-West Family Broadcasting and its licensees, successors, and assigns the right to publicize and/or broadcast their name, city/state of residence, likeness, voice, and the fact that they have participated in and/or won the contest, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation, permission, or notification, except where prohibited by law.
6. Release of Liability:
- By participating in this contest and/or accepting any prize, the entrant/winner agrees to release and hold harmless Mid-West Family Broadcasting, its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, participating sponsors, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability for any injuries, loss, or damage of any kind, including death, arising from or in connection with participation in the contest or the receipt or use of any prize.
7. General Terms and Conditions:
- Mid-West Family Broadcasting reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the contest at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. In the event of termination, Mid-West Family Broadcasting may, at its discretion, select a winner from all eligible entries received prior to the termination date. All decisions in such matters are final.
- Mid-West Family Broadcasting reserves the right to change these rules at any time without notice. By continuing to participate in the contest after any changes are made, you agree to the revised rules.
- Mid-West Family Broadcasting is not responsible for any damaged, lost, altered, misdirected, postage-due, incomplete, or illegible entries, or for any phone, computer, network, internet, hardware, software, or technical malfunctions, failures, or limitations of any kind, or for any human error in the administration of the contest or the processing of entries.
- The number of eligible entries received will determine the odds of winning in a random drawing. For contests involving qualifiers, the number of qualifiers will be determined by Mid-West Family Broadcasting. The grand prize winner will be selected from all eligible qualifiers.
- If a contestant is found to be ineligible to receive a prize, the prize will not be awarded. No substitution or transfer of prizes by the winner is permitted.
- All contests hosted on the radio station websites may be sponsored by third-party platforms such as Aptivada. Mid-West Family Broadcasting is not responsible for any malfunctions or issues with these third-party platforms.
- Duplicate accounts using multiple email addresses on KQRA (Q102), KOSP (92.9 The Beat), KOMG (105.1 The Bull), KKLH (104.7 The Cave), and Around the Ozarks are ineligible to win.
- Respondents to online or on-air contests caught cheating in any form or fashion (including, but not limited to, multiple email addresses, variations in names, etc.) will be subject to a thirty (30) day suspension of winning any Mid-West Family Broadcasting contest. A second offense may result in a permanent ban from participating in any future Mid-West Family Broadcasting contests. Mid-West Family Broadcasting reserves the sole right to determine what constitutes cheating and to implement and finalize all decisions regarding penalties at its discretion.
- Apple and Google are not affiliated with or responsible for the organization or administration of contests or sweepstakes within apps associated with Mid-West Family Broadcasting.
8. Data Collection and Usage:
- First-Party Data: By entering a contest, you acknowledge and agree that Mid-West Family Broadcasting may collect personal information from you, including but not limited to your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and address (collectively, “First-Party Data”). This First-Party Data may be used by Mid-West Family Broadcasting for the purposes of administering the contest, contacting you if you are a winner, verifying your eligibility, and as otherwise described in these rules and our general Privacy Policy, which can be found on our station websites.
- Third-Party Data: Some contests may be hosted on third-party platforms or may involve third-party sponsors. By participating in such contests, you acknowledge and agree that your information may be collected by these third parties and may be subject to their respective privacy policies and terms of service. Mid-West Family Broadcasting is not responsible for the privacy practices of such third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party platforms or sponsors before providing your personal information.
- Usage of Data: By participating in the contest, you consent to Mid-West Family Broadcasting using your First-Party Data to:
- Administer the contest and select winners.
- Contact you regarding your participation in the contest, including prize notification.
- Verify your identity and eligibility.
- Include your name and likeness in promotional materials related to the contest, as described in Section 5 (Publicity Release).
- Improve our services and for internal marketing purposes, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Share your information with third-party sponsors or service providers solely for the purpose of administering the contest or fulfilling prize obligations, subject to their privacy policies.
- Mid-West Family Broadcasting will take reasonable measures to protect the security and confidentiality of your First-Party Data. However, we cannot guarantee that your information will be completely secure from unauthorized access or disclosure.
- By participating in the contest, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your data as described in these rules and our Privacy Policy. You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law.
