Springfield, MO – [October 14, 2025] – Mid-West Family Broadcasting is proud to announce the launch of a brand-new, full-power sports radio station: 102.1 The Won. As of today, sports fans across the Ozarks can tune in to 102.1 FM for an all-star lineup of games, shows, and sports programming—all delivered with the strongest sports radio signal in the Springfield Metro area at 5,000 watts.
102.1 The Won becomes the new local home for:
- St. Louis Blues Hockey
- St. Louis Cardinals Baseball (moving from 105.1 The Bull)
- Kansas City Royals Baseball
- NFL Prime Time Games
- The Jim Rome Show
- ViSN Sports Radio Network Programming
“With the success we’ve had as the radio home of the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals, we know there’s a huge market for sports on the radio here in the Ozarks,” said Brian Tyndall, General Manager of Mid-West Family Broadcasting. “With the legalization of sports gambling taking effect soon, we expect even more listeners to tune in for live updates and expert analysis.”
102.1 The Won takes over the FM position previously held by Q102, which has now moved to Q92.9 FM. While the Cardinals’ broadcasts make the move to 102.1, fans of the Kansas City Chiefs can still find every game on 104.7 The Cave, which will remain the team’s radio home in the region. Dustin Males will serve as Brand Manager of 102.1 The Won, overseeing the station’s programming and brand direction.
Tyndall emphasized that this is just the beginning for 102.1 The Won. “We will definitely have a heavy focus on local sports, including high school and college teams,” he said. “There’s so much local talent and passion in our region and it deserves to be spotlighted.”
